Despite the title, the game is NOT at all about suicide or depression.

I had played a previous Suicide Guy game before and thoroughly enjoyed it, as you try in first-person to try and get killed in the most bizarre ways and in the most strangest circumstances. The Lost Dreams is an extension of that, with 18 levels that get you to try and get killed. The levels vary and the results in how you accomplish your goal changes in each, so the obvious solution isn’t always the correct one.

Working out the situation and trying to find a way to end the dream can be tough, as no real hints are given, so you are essentially on your own…unless you go and use a guide. Each level has a collectible to grab, but essentially that is the extent of how far you’re going to have to go out of your way to get the Platinum here. It’s a clever game and it’s making me want to try the rest of the series now…

The visuals are typical of the past games, so it’s what you expect to see. It gets the job done, but has a charming art style to it. The soundtrack is impressive and I didn’t encounter any glitches during my playthrough.

The Verdict

Suicide Guy: The Lost Dreams feels more like an expansion instead of a sequel, but it’s still a highly enjoyable first-person puzzler from start to finish.

Score: 7.5
